In late 2022, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) released a consultation paper on guidelines for fund naming using ESG or sustainability-related terms. As members of the CFA EMEA working group on ESG investing, Hilde Veelaert and Niina Arkko, took a deep dive into the consultation and discussed its potential consequences.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the long term, if we don’t change our behaviour, the shortage of raw materials, reduction in biodiversity, changing climate conditions, social unrest and inequality will further negatively impact our society, the environment and economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t
